3rd PAWS on the Trail
Event Sponsorship
Want to reach thousands of residents in Wakefield, Reading, Stoneham, Melrose, North Reading, Lynnfield, and surrounding communities? Want to do it while helping a local nonprofit cover medical expenses and extra-care needs for homeless animals? Well the Protection of Animals in Wakefield Society (yes, that spells PAWS) is looking for sponsors like you to support its 3rd Annual PAWS on the Trail 4K Fun Run/Walk and Kitty Kat Dash.
Sponsorship opportunities and costs
Companies that sponsor events will find that PAWS is offering some competitively priced (and creatively named) sponsorship options:
- The Cool Cat Sponsor for 3rd Annual PAWS on the Trail
- The Cat's Meow Sponsor for 3rd Annual PAWS on the Trail
- Fat Cat Sponsor for the 3rd Annual PAWS on the Trail
- Pawsome Partner Sponsor for the 3rd Annual PAWS on the Trail
Sponsorship fees range from $250 - $2,500, making this a rather affordable option for any companies looking to sponsor. Benefits are equally impressive, with some sponsors getting the opportunity to directly address attendees on the day of the race and others receiving booth/exhibit space during the event.
All sponsors will get recognition in social media and email communications, reaching over 6,200 community members.

Deadlines, dates, and locations
Companies willing to sponsor the PAWS on the Trail event need to submit their applications by October 1, 2019 to have their logo/name included on the race t-shirts and banner.
The event will be held November 2, 2019 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM at the Reading Town Forest (85 Sunset Rock Lane, Reading, MA 01867). Note that limited parking will be available at the Wood End School.
About the host and event
From the PAWS website: "PAWS is an all-volunteer, non-profit animal welfare organization, founded in 1982 by the late Esther Nowell. We serve many communities north of Boston. Our mission is to promote and protect the rights and well-being of all domestic animals and wildlife, and foster greater understanding of animal welfare and animal rights through education."
On the 3rd Annual PAWS on the Trail event page, the organization notes that they have encountered greater-than-usual medical expenses while caring for their homeless animals. All proceeds for the event will go toward covering these expenses.
The event is free for kids under 12 and prizes are available for all children. T-shirts will be given out to the first 100 registered adults. The 4K Fun Run/Walk is open to runners, walkers, teams, and families of all ages.
