Film on the Rocks

Podcast Sponsorship

Have you ever noticed that Matt Damon wears only a handful of shirts throughout Good Will Hunting? The guys over at Film on the Rocks did, and they recommend that you take a drink every time you see a repeat outfit. If you're in the mood to punish your liver, they also suggest taking a drink every time you hear a "fack".

What is Film on the Rocks?

Film on the Rocks is a fun movie podcast that likes to break down movies in an entertaining way including trivia, drinking rules, favorite scenes, the message of the movies, and sequel debates!

How did you get started with podcasts?

My day job can be tedious and I discovered podcasts a few years ago to help my days go by quicker. I have always been drawn to movies and have grown up having fun and serious movie discussions with my friends. As I discovered podcasts, I was naturally drawn to certain movie podcasts and thought, "I can do this and it would be a blast!". It is also a great creative outlet.

What has been your favorite episode so far?

This is a tough one. I think I am going to have to say our episode on Rian Johnson's Knives Out (2019). I love that movie, genre, and it was such a joy to research it.

Do you have any upcoming content that you want people to know about?

Yes! Besides our October episodes, that I am pumped for, we have some experimental bonus podcast episodes we are very excited for. We are going to be dabbling in TV shows and taking a swing at movie commentaries, in which we will be actually playing with our drinking rules and commentating over the movie. We think it will be a blast and want to make it a synchronized track you can play over the movie as you watch.

Is there anything else that you want sponsors to know about you and your podcast?

If the product or service allows for it, we like to get creative with our ad reads. I'd check out our episode on The Mummy (1999) for how we handled our ad reads for Supporti. We made them fun, short segments and talked about who from the movie could have used their service.
